Blue States在Memphis厂牌后推出几张EP后，却在Eighteenth Street Lounge Music厂牌下发行了正式的处女大碟《Nothing Changes Under The Sun》，这不能不让人联想起曾经在Cup Of Tea旗下推出EP后又转投一些大厂牌的怀抱的一些乐队。 Blue States的作品总体上是Down tempo为主，但2001年正式推出的大碟《Nothing Changes Under The Sun》中却有一半左右的纯粹吉他，真鼓等乐器的作品，也许Blue States是不想纯粹的做一些单一的Down tempo作品吧？但如许多乐队的作品规律一样，事实上Blue States的一些未被收入到大碟中而散落在一些合集中的单曲的水准要明显高于2001年的那张大碟。 杨栋 2002.3.19

这张专集诚如网上一个乐迷所说的那样，是一张充满着矛盾冲突的音乐风格的合体。其中充斥了大量非Down Tempo的纯吉他，鼓的器乐作品。如“Arion”、“Theme from Within”、“Cherio Manou”等，当然也不乏非常精致的如“Spit and Soar”，有人甚至把这个作品和4AD旗下的Dif Juz相媲美，我想多数是指其中那连绵不绝重叠在一起的吉他吧。

此外其他的一些Down Tempo作品在可听性上也不差，这就使得这个专集比较的“Easy Listening”：
“Diamente”开头的老唱片的杂音和妖旎的铉乐一起营造的诡异氛围；洋溢着Acid Jazz风情的“The Trainer Shuffle”；“Golden Touch”中的开头让人眼前浮现出中东地区的某个城市的热闹集市模样；“Your Girl”中清纯的女孩声在你耳畔令人心动地说道“If you want me for your girl”；“Heroes' Elegy”那缓慢的节拍和着寥落的吉他让人庸懒的不行。
